When I met Tammy, I was immediately inspired by her vision — to bring an LA-style social club to Syracuse that felt both elevated and effortlessly welcoming. Her idea for The Society was more than a café; it was a way to reconnect people after years of distance — a place to work, rest, and transition through the day surrounded by community. As I got to know her, I wanted to help bring that spirit to life in every detail, from the branding and product design to the website and interior environment. Every creative choice centered on connection — finding where people overlap, and designing a space that helps them meet in the middle. (photograph of bar: Reel Inspired Media)

The interlocking circles, inspired by a Venn diagram, symbolize connection and common ground at the heart of The Society.

Material
The exposed concrete and structural textures reflect the idea of building something real — a visual reminder that The Society is grounded in process, craft, and community in progress.

Arches
Historically, arches were designed to create more space and support more people, which makes them a fitting symbol for The Society’s mission to build an open, inclusive place for connection.
